I been workinnnn, I been workinnnn... #BeyonceVoice

    K.Nicole
I have had the craziest work schedule.. I do marketing & sales for this luxury women's clothing brand called K.Nicole.

K.Nicole consist of to fabulous power houses: Kera Anderson & Nicole Rae Styer (owner of N.R.S. Boutique in South Philadelphia). The two met in Nicole's shop, connected creatively and have collaborated ever since.

These two gems are living proof of that "go with your gut" instinct. They didn't wait for opportunity to come their way, they vigorously dragged her out of the stylish streets of their extravagant imaginations on to a blank sketch pad.

En'Viola  ~ K.Nicole was born. Since then the ladies have done two shows in New York Fashion week. With their 3rd collection debuting on September 11,2014 @Pier59 (Chelsea Piers) In NY. The office has been chaotic, but amazing nonetheless. I normally spend my days making tons of emails & calls, but for once I got to play at work.

This sketch was inspired by a piece from their SS15 collection "Kera&Nicole".
 Here's my process...

That's it! You know the deal, water color, prisma colored pencils, ink.... And of course I transformed it into a digital painting. Hope you enjoyed..

Leave comments & feedback.. Thanks dolls..

Feeling Fall

#DOTD
My Drawing of the Day

Recently I've been slightly obsessing over leaves, stealing them from any tree I found interesting and bringing them home to study. I was inspired by the deep purple and green combination on this one tree (I don't know the name of it) that I kept seeing. Unfortunately when I got home and put the leaf on my light table I realized I had picked an all green one. Nonetheless I started to do little color sketches and line drawings. Just about everything that inspires me evolves into a garment interpretation.

I started this a week or two ago, unfortunately I got busy with work and left it unfinished. Finally, I got tired of looking at a pitiful water color. I thought that I would just finish it with an ink outline but of course it evolved into mixed media, and finally a digital painting. I skipped a few steps in the documentation process, but you get the picture.  I'm pretty satisfied with it, hope you enjoy too. Leave comments, questions. Thanks!

No purple but I like the hint of brown

The leaf I picked was green but I was inspired by the other leaves w/ more of a gradation

Added a color pencil outline, Before BG detail

Digital painting: Played with the contrast and texture a bit in PS

              Until next time,
